Dams Safety NSW is the State’s independent regulator responsible for ensuring dam owners manage the safety of their declared dams.
We do this by auditing declared dam owners’ policies, processes and procedures to check their compliance with the requirements of the Dams Safety Act 2015 and Dams Safety Regulation 2019.
We provide guidance to declared dam owners on how to comply with the regulation and standards. Where required, we can enforce the regulation through a range of penalties.

Black Insitu Testing was formed in 2008 as a specialised Cone Penetration Testing company. The company founders are experienced geotechnical engineers who have carefully developed a range of testing equipment that efficiently and reliably produce high quality test data that is required for dam design.
Our range of services include CPT, vane shear, DMT, seismic, pressuremeter tests, piston sampling, mini-block sampling and VWP installation. We have 9 CPT rigs that can access a wide range of site access conditions.
