Andrew Chapman
Andrew is a civil engineer with a wide diversity of experience covering the entire project lifecycle from planning through design and construction and into operations and maintenance. Andrew has worked within key client organisations as well as for major contractors and with engineering organisations such as Thiess, Seymour Whyte, Transfield Services and GHD. Andrew was also a former President of Engineers Australia.
As the CEO of the QMCA Andrew leads the organisation representing the engineering and construction companies that are responsible for the major construction and civil engineering work in the state.
The construction industry is one of the state’s largest employers, employing nearly a quarter of a million people and our world-leading contractors export technical excellence around the globe. Construction is an important industry in the economic development of Queensland and Andrew leads the organisation in promoting the industry and advocating for a sustainable, safe and efficient industry that supports QLD’s growth.
